I was born in St. Paul, MN, on December 26, 1978. I was baptized and raised in the Evangelical Covenant Church. After high school I attended Wheaton College (1997–01), where I majored in Bible and Theology. I then worked part-time in radio for two years while I studied Greek and Hebrew with John Piper at The Bethlehem Institute in Minneapolis from 2001–03. Then I moved out to California for three years, and I received my Masters of Divinity degree at Westminster Seminary in California in 2006. From 2006 to 2010 I served as an Associate Pastor at Cloverdale United Reformed Church in Boise, ID (URCNA). While I was serving at Cloverdale URCNA I met my wife, Colleen, and we were married in 2008. Our son, Isaiah, was born in September 2010.
In November 2010, I was called to serve as the Mission Work Pastor at Redeemer Reformed Church in Golden Valley, MN. We began meeting for services at the new mission work, Emmaus Road Reformed Chapel, in Eden Prairie, MN, on October 23, 2011. It has been a joy to serve alongside of Rev. James Sawtelle during my first two years in the RCUS. I consider it a great honor and privilege to serve Christ and His church.
